Having been introduced to the world of weaving in childhood, fascinated by the dynamism and endless combinations that can be created, Simone recalls: "Ever since we were kids, my sister and I used to play at my uncle's house, and one of the most fascinating places in the house was the attic, where there were the wooden looms he worked on, and the countless spools of colorful threads lining the walls. An organized chaos reigned there, which I believe greatly inspired who I have become."
The wooden looms Simone uses for weaving were designed and built by him, adapted to his needs and requirements. Every natural fiber in his fabric tells the story of the land, the process, and the slow rhythm of creation that characterizes manual weaving.
